BIO

I have been a ceramic artist for 10 years and i'm still amazed by the new techniques and materials that I encounter each day. I like to make sure my ceramic art reflects my passion for the pottery wheel, as well as my modern design techniques in slip cast artwork. I studied at SUNY New Paltz where I completed my Bachelors in Visual Arts Education and Bachelors in Fine Arts in Ceramics. I have taught at various art programs in the Hudson Valley including Mill Street Loft’s Dutchess Arts Camp and Arts for Healing. I have had the wonderful opportunity of teaching various grades from K-12 in public and private schools, inclusion classes in elementary and high schools and special education classes. I have developed highly effective teaching techniques and instructional methods, which have allowed me to educate all styles of learners. I create a fun and engaging learning environment that effectively teaches art appreciation and promotes creativity.

I have shown my artwork at venues like Locust Grove’s Samuel B. Morris estate in Poughkeepsie, NY, Castle Gallery in New Rochelle, NY, Mooney Gallery in New Rochelle, NY, and Fire Lotus Art and Antiques in Beacon, NY.

I have recently finished my masters degree in Creative Arts Therapy at The College of New Rochelle and have started teaching at risk adolescent boys the various styles of pottery.
